386 LAWS OF MARYLAND [Ch. 2
for the reports is proposed for deletion,
since the contract will require this in any
event. The only other changes made are in
style.
SUBTITLE 3. STANDING COMMITTEE ON RULES.
SEC. 13-301. COMMITTEE ON RULES OF PRACTICE AND
PROCEDURE.
TO AID IN THE EXERCISE OF ITS RULE-MAKING POWERS,
THE COURT OF APPEALS MAY APPOINT A STANDING COMMITTEE
OF LAWYERS AND JUDGES. A COMMITTEE MEMBER SHALL SERVE
WITHOUT COMPENSATION, BUT SHALL BE REIMBURSED FOR
TRAVELING AND OTHER EXPENSES INCURRED ON COMMITTEE
BUSINESS.
SEC. 13-302. ASSISTANTS.
THE COURT OF APPEALS MAY EMPLOY NECESSARY
ASSISTANTS FOR THE COMMITTEE AND FIX THEIR SALARIES.
SEC. 13-303. PAYMENT OF SALARIES AND EXPENSES.
THE DIRECTOR OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE
COURTS SHALL PAY THE ASSISTANTS' SALARIES AS WELL AS
THE TRAVELING AND OTHER EXPENSES OF THE COMMITTEE,
INCLUDING PRINTING AND OTHER COSTS FROM THE
APPROPRIATE BUDGET ALLOCATION.
REVISOR'S NOTE: Sections 13-301 through 13-303
presently appear as Art. 26, §28, rearranged
in three sections. The specific reference to
Art. 26, §25 is proposed for deletion, since
the real function of the committee is to
assist the court with its general
constitutional rule-making activities. It
seems undesirable to limit the committee's
role to giving advice with respect to only
one statutory grant of power.
Provisions dealing with payment of funds has
been revised to reflect what is believed to
be the present practice. The judicial
council was abolished by Ch. 37, 1971. The
only other changes made are in style.
SUBTITLE 4. COMMISSION ON JUDICIAL DISABILITIES.
SEC. 13-401. POWERS OF COMMISSION.
