SEC. 10-407. FEDERAL AGENCIES AND LAW.

(A)   AGENCIES.

THIS SUBTITLE DOES NOT APPLY TO THE FEDERAL BUREAU
OF INVESTIGATION OR TO ANY OTHER FEDERAL INVESTIGATING
AGENCY.

(B)   TELEPHONE OR TELEGRAPH COMPANY.

AN ORDER ISSUED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBTITLE MAY NOT DIRECT OR COMPEL AN EMPLOYEE OF A
TELEPHONE OR TELEGRAPH COMPANY TO AN ACT OR FURNISH
INFORMATION IN VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW.

subdivided for the purpose of clarity and
language and style is changed.

SEC. 10-408. PENALTY.

A PERSON WHO VIOLATES THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBTITLE IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON
CONVICTION SUBJECT TO A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN $1,000
OR IMPRISONMENT FOR NOT MORE THAN 90 DAYS OR BOTH.

SUBTITLE 5. PROOF OF FOREIGN LAWS.
SEC. 10-501. JUDICIAL NOTICE.

EVERY COURT OF THIS STATE SHALL TAKE JUDICIAL
NOTICE OF THE COMMON LAW AND STATUTES OF EVERY STATE,
TERRITORY, AND OTHER JURISDICTION OF THE UNITED
STATES, AND OF EVERY OTHER JURISDICTION HAVING A
SYSTEM OF LAW BASED ON THE COMMON LAW OF ENGLAND.
