228                                             LAWS OF MARYLAND                                [Ch. 2

THE GENERAL RULE OF SECTION 6-201 DOES NOT APPLY
TO ACTIONS ENUMERATED IN THIS SECTION.

(B)   INTEREST IN LAND.

THE VENUE OF THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS IS IN THE
COUNTY WHERE ALL OR ANY PORTION OF THE SUBJECT MATTER
OF THE ACTION IS LOCATED:

(1)   PARTITION OF PEAL ESTATE;

(2)   ENFORCEMENT OF A CHARGE OR LIEN ON LAND;

(3)   EMINENT DOMAIN;
(4) TRESPASS TO LAND;
(5) WASTE.

(C)   PROPERTY IN MORE THAN ONE COUNTY.

IF THE PROPERTY LIES IN MORE THAN ONE COUNTY, THE
COURT IN WHICH PROCEEDINGS ARE FIRST BROUGHT HAS
JURISDICTION OVER THE ENTIRE PROPERTY.

(D)   INJURY TO LIVESTOCK BY RAILROAD.

THE VENUE OF AN ACTION TO RECOVER DAMAGES AGAINST
A RAILROAD COMPANY FOR INJURY TO LIVESTOCK IS THE
COUNTY WHERE THE INJURY OCCURRED.

(E)   ADOPTION.

THE VENUE FOR A PROCEEDING FOR ADOPTION OF A
PERSON WHO IS PHYSICALLY WITHIN THE STATE OR SUBJECT
TO THE JURISDICTION OF AN EQUITY COURT IS IN A COUNTY
IN WHICH:

(1)   THE PETITIONER IS DOMICILED;

(2)    THE PETITIONER HAS RESIDED FOR AT LEAST
90 DAYS NEXT PRECEDING THE FILING OF THE PETITION;

(3)   A LICENSED CHILD PLACEMENT AGENCY HAVING
LEGAL OR PHYSICAL CUSTODY OF THE PERSON TO BE ADOPTED
IS LOCATED;

(4) THE PERSON TO BE ADOPTED IS DOMICILED,
IF HE IS RELATED TO THE PETITIONER BY BLOOD OR
MARRIAGE OR IS AN ADULT; OR
