(B) JUDGES IN BALTIMORE CITY.

IN BALTIMORE CITY THERE SHALL BE 21 RESIDENT
JUDGES OF THE SUPREME BENCH OF BALTIMORE CITY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Art. IV, §21 of the Constitution
contains certain provisions regarding the
number of judges authorized for the circuit
courts of the first seven judicial
circuits. These provisions are complex,
confusing, and in some cases obsolete.
They are supplemented by an equally
confusing set of 12 statutes: Art. 26,
§§32-32J. It is, in fact, extremely
difficult to determine the number of
resident judges authorized for a given
county, or even for a circuit. For
example, to determine the number of judges
allocated to the sixth circuit, and the
counties of which they must be residents,
it is necessary to examine Art. IV, §21 of
the Constitution, Art. 26, §32B, Art. 26,
§32G, Ch. 894, Acts of 1965, and Ch. 450,
