"Dairies", be and it is hereby recodified and renumber
as §149A of Art. 27, Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Repl. Vol. and 1972 Supplement as added to or amended
by legislation enacted at the 1973 regular session of
the General Assembly), title and subtitle, "Crimes and
Punishment", subheading, "False Pretenses, Bad Checks,
etc.", to follow immediately after §149 thereof.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section transfers Art. 66C,
§450 to Art. 27, for organizational
purposes. The language of §450 is broader
than the topic of "Dairies" to which it is
presently attached, and it has no
particular relationship to functions to the
State Department of Agriculture. The
section makes it a misdemeanor to obtain by
false pretenses a registration of any
cattle, horses, sheep, swine, or other
domestic animals. It also covers such
related offenses as procuring transfer of
registration by false pretenses and giving
a false pedigree of any animal.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That §§
48, [[and]] 50, 56 and 57 of Art. 66C, Annotated Code
of Maryland (1970 Repl. Vol. and 1972 Supplement),
title "Natural Resources", subtitle "Agriculture",
subheading "In General", be and they are hereby
repealed and reenacted without amendment for the
purpose of transferring their provisions from the
Annotated Code of Maryland to the session laws, to
read as follows:

[§48.] Acceptance of congressional grants for
experiment stations - In general.

The assent of the State of Maryland is hereby
given to the purposes of the grant made by the act of
the first session of the Fifty—ninth Congress of the
United States known as the Adams Bill H.R. 345,
entitled "An Act to provide for an increased annual
appropriation for Agricultural Experiment Stations",
and the Maryland Agricultural Experiment Station, a
department of the Maryland Agricultural College, is
hereby designated as the institution entitled to
receive the moneys appropriated for Maryland and the
treasurer of the said institution is hereby designated
as the proper person to receive the said
appropriations.
