SEC. 11-504. LICENSE FOR PERSONS EMPLOYED IN THE
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
(A) LICENSE FOR PERSONS EMPLOYED IN THE DISTRICT
OF COLUMBIA.
TO PERMIT LICENSEE DEALERS IN SOLID FUEL IN THE
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA TO COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
THIS SUBTITLE, THE SECRETARY MAY ISSUE A WEIGHMASTER
LICENSE TO ANY PERSON EMPLOYED IN THE DISTRICT OF
COLUMBIA BY A DEALER IN SOLID FUEL LICENSEE TO DO
BUSINESS IN THE STATE.
(B) APPLICATION.
APPLICATION FOR A WEIGHMASTER LICENSE SHALL BE
MADE PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF §11-503(B) THE
LICENSE SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBTITLE AND MAY BE REVOKED OR SUSPENDED.
(C) LICENSEE MAY SIGN DELIVERY TICKET FOR SOLID
FUEL.
THE LICENSEE MAY WEIGH UP AND SIGN A DELIVERY
TICKET FOR ANY LOAD OF SOLID FUEL, IF THE LOAD HAS
BEEN WEIGHED BY HIM ON SCALES LOCATED WITHIN THE
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHICH HAVE BEEN TESTED, APPROVED,
AND INSPECTED BY THE PERSON CHANGED WITH THIS
AUTHORITY IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
(D) APPLICABILITY.
THIS SECTION IS INTENDED TO APPLY SOLELY TO SOLID
FUEL DEALERS IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND DOES NOT
ENLARGE THE PRIVILEGES OF SOLID FUEL DEALERS DOING
BUSINESS OUTSIDE THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language
derived from Art. 97, §67 of the Code. In
subsection (a), the present reference to a
"dealer in coal" is proposed for deletion and
a reference to a "dealer in solid fuel" is
added to maintain consistency with the other
provisions of this subtitle. In subsection
(c), the present reference to the sealer of
weights and measures in the District of
Columbia is omitted because this position no
