THE APPLE INDUSTRY; THE AMOUNT OF APPLES THAT CAN BE
CONTAINED IN NOT LESS THAN 2,140 CUBIC INCHES AND NOT
MORE THAN 2,500 CUBIC INCHES; OR, BY WEIGHT,
APPROXIMATELY 50 FOUNDS.

SEC. 10-402. MEMBERS; QUALIFICATIONS; TENURE;
CHAIRMAN; COMPENSATION.
(A) MEMBERS; QUALIFICATIONS.
THE MARYLAND STATE APPLE COMMISSION CONSISTS OF
SEVEN MEMBERS REPRESENTING AS NEARLY AS POSSIBLE THE
IMPORTANT APPLE-PRODUCING AREAS OF THE STATE. THE
MEMBERS SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR, WITH THE
ADVICE OF THE SECRETARY, FROM A LIST OF TWO ELIGIBLE
GROWERS FOR EACH MEMBER TO BE APPOINTED AND SUPPLIED
TO THE GOVERNOR BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE
MARYLAND STATE HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY. EACH MEMBER
SHALL BE A CITIZEN OF THE STATE AND ENGAGED IN
