MARVIN MANDEL, Governor 1707
OR DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY BY OTHER PUBLIC BODIES IS
APPLICABLE TO A DISTRICT, UNLESS THE PROVISION
SPECIFICALLY SO STATES.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66C, §95 of the Code. New language
derived from the last clause of proposed
sub—paragraph (a) (2) is added to (a) (1) for
organizational purposes. In subsection
(a) (3) , language is added to indicate that
consent must be obtained from the "possessor"
of necessary rights or interests in the land
because a person cannot be an occupier of
these interests.
In subsection (a) (6) the present reference to
"bequest, devise" is proposed for deletion
because under Ch. 31, Acts of 1973, the word
"gift" includes a bequest or devise.
In subsection (a) (13) the second clause
permitting the supervisors to manage lands as
an agent of the State, the United States, or
their agencies is proposed for deletion
because their power is encompassed within the
provisions of subsection (a) (14).
In subsection (a) (15), the present reference
to "donations" and "contributions" is
proposed for deletion because these terms are
synonymous with "gifts".
Subsection (a) (16) is new language derived
from Art. 66C, §95A of the Code and set forth
here for organizational purposes.
Paragraph (17) is new language derived from
