(E) LEGAL SERVICE.

THE COMMITTEE MAY CALL UPON THE ATTORNEY GENERAL
FOR LEGAL SERVICES IT REQUIRES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
the first two sentences of Art. 66C, §91(b)
of the Code. The last sentence is proposed
for deletion because it appears as new
language in §8-205(b). The only other
changes made are in style.

SEC. 8-2014. ACCEPTANCE, MANAGEMENT, AND DISPOSAL OF
FEDERAL GRANTS; EXCEPTION.

THE COMMITTEE MAY ACCEPT ANY ALLOTMENT OF FEDERAL
FUNDS AND COMMODITIES GRANTED FOR STUDY AND CONTROL OF
SHORE EROSION. IT MAY MANAGE AND DISPOSE OF IT IN
WHATEVER MANNER MAY BE REQUIRED BY FEDERAL LAW.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66C, §102A of the Code. The last phrase
is proposed for deletion because §7 of the
Soil Conservation and Domestic Allotment Act
was repealed in 1962 and not replaced. The
only other changes made are in style.

SEC. 8-205. POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE COMMITTEE.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

THE COMMITTEE MAY PERFORM ACTS, HOLD PUBLIC
HEARINGS, AND, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE
SECRETARY, ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS NECESSARY FOR
THE EXECUTION OF ITS FUNCTIONS UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.

(B)   AUTHORITY TO DELEGATE POWERS AND DUTIES.

THE COMMITTEE MAY DELEGATE TO ITS CHAIRMAN, ANY
MEMBER, OR ANY EMPLOYEE POWERS AND DUTIES IT DEEMS
PROPER.

(C)   DUTIES OF THE COMMITTEE.
THE COMMITTEE SHALL:

(1)    ADOPT A SEAL WHICH SHALL BE JUDICIALLY

NOTICED;

(2)   OFFER ASSISTANCE TO THE SUPERVISORS OF
SOIL CONSERVATION DISTRICTS;
