(C) TENURE.
THE TERM OF EACH SUPERVISOR IS THREE YEARS. A
SUPERVISOR MAY NOT SERVE AS A MEMBER MORE THAN TWO
FULL SUCCESSIVE TERMS, EXCEPT A MEMBER APPOINTED PRIOR
TO JULY 1, 1971, IS ELIGIBLE FOR ONE ADDITIONAL FULL
TERM. EVERY OTHER MEMBER SHALL HOLD OFFICE AS LONG AS
HE RETAINS THE OFFICE BY VIRTUE OF WHICH HE IS SERVING
ON THE COMMITTEE.
(D) APPOINTMENTS TO [[FULL]] FILL UNEXPIRED
TERMS.
AN APPOINTMENT TO FILL AN UNEXPIRED TERM SHALL BE
MADE IN THE SAME MANNER AS FOR A FULL TERM.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language
derived from Art. 66C, §91(a)(1) to provide
that the designee of the Secretary of Natural
Resources, must be a member of the Department.
In light of the provisions of sub—paragraph
(2) and (3) this is probably a codification
of the original legislative intent. The
present language, however, merely refers to
the "designated representative" of the
Secretary of Natural Resources.
In sub—paragraph (2) language, derived from
§2-203 (a), is added because the same
individual sits on the Soil Conservation
Committee and the Agriculture Commission.
The present provisions establishing the State
Soil Conservation Committee are omitted here
because Title 2 creates it as a unit of the
Department.
In addition, the present provisions of §91 (a)
setting forth various powers of the Committee
are omitted here because they are set forth
in §8-205 (a) , (c) (1) .
In subsection (b), sub—paragraphs (1), (2),
and (3) are designated by the area numbers
that have been assigned administratively for
