SHELLS. SUBJECT TO FEDERAL RULE OR REGULATION, THE
PROHIBITION OF THIS SUBSECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO AN
AUTOMATIC LOADING OR HAND-OPERATED REPEATING SHOTGUN
WHOSE MAGAZINE IS CUT OFF OR WHICH IS PLUGGED WITH A
ONE PIECE METAL OR WOODEN FILLER INCAPABLE OF REMOVAL
THROUGH THE LOADING END THAT REDUCES THE CAPACITY OF
THE GUN TO HOLD NO MORE THAN THREE SHELLS AT ANY ONE
TIME IN THE MAGAZINE AND CHAMBER COMBINED.

(2) A PERSON MAY NOT POSSESS A RIFLE OR
PISTOL WHILE HUNTING WILD WATERFOWL

(C)     LONGBOW AND ARROW PERMITTED; CROSSBOW
PROHIBITED. - A PERSON MAY HUNT WILD WATERFOWL WITH
ANY LONGBOW AND ARROW, BUT NOT WITH A CROSSBOW.

(D)   CONFISCATION OF ILLEGAL WEAPONS. - A NATURAL
RESOURCES POLICE OFFICER OR ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT
OFFICER SHALL CONFISCATE ANY CROSSBOW, ANY GUN LARGER
THAN TEN GAUGE, OR RIFLE OR PISTOL OF ANY DESCRIPTION
FOUND IN THE VICINITY OF WILD WATERFOWL.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language
derived from Article 66C, section 151(a) of
the Code and is divided into subsections
for purposes of clarity and organization.
The reference to Natural Resources Police
officer is added in light of Chapter 348,
Acts of 1972, which specifically charges
the Natural Resources Police Force with
enforcing the natural resources laws of the
State.

10-605. OTHER METHODS OF HUNTING.

(A) HUNTING WITH DOGS OR USING ARTIFICIAL DECOYS
PERMITTED. - A PERSON MAY HUNT WETLAND GAME BIRDS WITH
THE AID OF A DOG OR WITH AN ARTIFICIAL DECOY.
HOWEVER, A PERSON MAY NOT USE A LIVE DECOY.

(B)   PROHIBITED DEVICES. - A PERSON MAY NOT USE
ANY FLOATING DEVICE TOWED BY A POWER BOAT OR A SAIL
BOAT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Article 66C, section 151 (a) of the Code.
The provision in section 151(a) prohibiting
hunting wild waterfowl from an aircraft is
omitted here because proposed section
10—410(j) prohibits hunting any wild bird
from an aircraft.
