10-501. DEFINITIONS.

(A) IN THIS TITLE, THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE
MEANINGS INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
used as a standard introductory sentence to
a definition section.

(B) "FUR DEALER" MEANS ANY PERSON WHO BUYS OR
ACQUIRES RAW AND GREEN FURS, SKINS, HIDES, OR PELTS OF
WILD QUADRUPEDS FROM ANY PERSON AND SELLS OR DISPOSES
OF THEM.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears
as Article 66C, section 112(k) of the Code.
The last phrase is proposed for deletion as
superfluous. The only other changes made
are in style.

10-502. NONRESIDENT TRAPPING LICENSE.

ANY NONRESIDENT OF THE STATE WHO DESIRES TO TRAP
WILD MAMMALS, EXCEPT OTTER OR BEAVER, FIRST SHALL
PROCURE A NONRESIDENT TRAPPER'S LICENSE IN ADDITION TO
ANY OTHER LICENSE REQUIRED. THE LICENSE SHALL BE
ISSUED FOR A $25.50 FEE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROCEDURES FOR ISSUING NONRESIDENT HUNTING LICENSES
AND SHALL BE EFFECTIVE FOR THE SAME PERIOD AS A
HUNTER'S LICENSE. THE CLERK OR AGENT SHALL RETAIN 50
CENTS AS COMPENSATION FOR ISSUING THE LICENSE AND THE
BALANCE OF THE FEE SHALL BE PAID AND ACCOUNTED FOR IN
THE MANNER PROVIDED BY §10-209.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Article 66C, section 175(e) of the Code.
New language is added to indicate that this
section applies to fur-bearing mammals
except otter or beaver which may not be
trapped pursuant to the provisions of
section 10-503. The only other changes
made are in style.

10-503. HUNTING AND TRAPPING BEAVER AND OTTER BY
NONRESIDENTS PROHIBITED.

A NONRESIDENT OF THE STATE MAY NOT HUNT OR TRAP
OR ATTEMPT TO HUNT OR TRAP ANY BEAVER OR OTTER IN THE
STATE.
