(C) LANDOWNER MAY HUNT RACCOON OR OPOSSUM
DAMAGING PROPERTY. - A LANDOWNER OR HIS AGENT MAY SET
OR USE STEEL TRAPS OR SIMILAR DEVICES AT ANY TIME TO
TRAP RACCOON OR OPOSSUM WHICH ARE DAMAGING PROPERTY.

(D) CUTTING TREE TO HUNT RACCOON OR OPOSSUM
PROHIBITED WITHOUT THE OWNER'S CONSENT. - A PERSON MAY
NOT CUT A TREE FOR THE PURPOSE OF HUNTING OR
DISLODGING A RACCOON OR OPOSSUM WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF
THE OWNER OF THE TREE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) presently appears
as Article 66C, section 178(c) of the Code.
Subsection (b) presently appears as Article
66C, section 178(d). New language is added
to indicate to the Code user that the
provisions of this subsection are not
subject to the restrictions set forth
elsewhere. The provision relating to
muskrats is proposed for deletion and
placed in subtitle 6 relating to
fur—bearing mammals for purposes of
organization.

Subsection (c) presently appears as Article
66C, section 178(a) of the Code. The
provision relating to the season for
hunting raccoon and opossum is proposed for
deletion because it duplicates the
provisions of section 10-504(a). The third
sentence is proposed for deletion because
its substance appears in subsection (d).

Subsection (d) is new language derived from
Article 66C, section 178 (a).

Article 66C, section 178(b) is proposed for
deletion because it duplicates the
provisions of section 10—406.

The only other changes made are in style.
10-415. HUNTING DEER - IN GENERAL.

(A)   DEER SEASONS. - THERE ARE TWO SEASONS TO
HUNT DEER, AN ARCHERY SEASON AND A FIREARMS SEASON.

(B)    DEER LIMITS PER SEASON. - A PERSON MAY HUNT
UNIT ONE DEER DURING EACH DEER SEASON.
