OPERATOR IS AT LEAST 12 YEARS OLD AND ANOTHER PERSON,
AT LEAST 12 YEARS OLD, IS IN THE VESSEL TO OBSERVE THE
PROGRESS OF THE PERSON BEING TOWED. TOWING MAY NOT
OCCUR BETWEEN SUNSET AND SUNRISE. THIS SECTION DOES
NOT APPLY TO ANY PERFORMER ENGAGED IN PROFESSIONAL
EXHIBITION, OR ANY PERSON TAKING PART IN AN AUTHORIZED
REGATTA, MOTORBOAT, OR OTHER BOAT RACE, A MARINE
PARADE, TOURNAMENT, OR ANY EXHIBITION.

Article 14B, section 11 of the Code. The

8-726. PROHIBITION ON THROWING OR DUMPING OF REFUSE
ON ANY WATERS IN THE STATE.
(A) A PERSON MAY NOT THROW, DUMP, DEPOSIT, OR
CAUSE TO BE THROWN, DUMPED, OR DEPOSIT ANY TRASH,
JUNK, OR OTHER REFUSE ON ANY WATERS OF THE STATE.
(E) THE OPERATOR OR OWNER, IF PRESENT, OF ANY
VESSEL ON WHICH OCCURS A VIOLATION OF SUBSECTION (A)
OF THIS SECTION IS LIABLE.
(C) THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS SECTION.

derived from Article 14b, section 12(c) of
the Code. The penalty provision is omitted
in light of the uniform penalty provision
of this title.
8-727. POWER OF OFFICERS ENFORCING PROVISIONS OF
SUBTITLE.
A NATURAL RESOURCES POLICE OFFICER OR ANY LAW
ENFORCEMENT OFFICER ENFORCING THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBTITLE MAY STOP, BOARD, OR INSPECT ANY VESSEL
SUBJECT TO THIS SUBTITLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language
derived from the 2nd clause of the first
sentence of present section 12(a) of
Article 14B, of the Code. The nomenclatural
reference to Natural Resources Police
Officers is added in light of Chapter 348,
Acts of 1972, which created a Natural
Resources Police Force which specifically
charges the Natural Resources Police Force
with enforcement of the Natural Resources
