114                                       LAWS OF MARYLAND                            [Ch. 2

ANY OF THE INSTANCES ENUMERATED IN THIS SECTION.

(E) NON-RESIDENT DEBTOR.

IF THE DEBTOR IS:

(1)   A NON-RESIDENT INDIVIDUAL;

(2)    A CORPORATION AND HAS NO RESIDENT
AGENT; OR

(3)   A CORPORATION AND HAS ONE OR MORE
RESIDENT AGENTS AND UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN
MADE ON DIFFERENT BUSINESS DAYS TO SERVE PROCESS TWICE
UPON ONE RESIDENT AGENT OR ONCE UPON EACH OF TWO
RESIDENT AGENTS.

(C)   SUMMONS RETURNED TWICE NON-EST.

IF TWO SUMMONSES, ISSUED AGAINST A RESIDENT
DEFENDANT, HAVE BEEN RETURNED NON EST ON TWO SEPARATE
RETURN DAYS.

(D)   ABSCONDING DEBTOR.

IF THE DEBTOR HAS ABSCONDED OR IS ABOUT TO
ABSCOND FROM THE STATE; OR IF AN INDIVIDUAL HAS
REMOVED, OR IS ABOUT TO REMOVE, FROM HIS PLACE OF
ABODE IN THE STATE WITH INTENT TO DEFRAUD HIS
CREDITORS.

(E)   FRAUD.

(1)    IF THE      DEBTOR IS ABOUT TO ASSIGN,
DISPOSE OF, CONCEAL, OR      REMOVE HIS PROPERTY OR A
PORTION OF IT FROM THE   STATE WITH INTENT TO DEFRAUD
HIS CREDITORS; OR

(2)   IF THE DEBTOR HAS DONE ANY OF THESE
ACTS, FRAUDULENTLY CONTRACTED THE DEBT, OR INCURRED
THE OBLIGATION WHICH IS SUBJECT OF THE PENDING ACTION.

(F)   NON-RESIDENT HEIR OR DEVISEE.

IF AN ADULT NON-RESIDENT IS ENTITLED BY DESCENT
OR DEVISE TO ANY LAND OR INTEREST IN LAND IN THE
STATE, AND THE PERSON FROM WHOM THE LAND OR INTEREST
DESCENDED, OR BY WHOM THE SAME WERE DEVISED, WAS
INDEBTED TO ANY PERSON, AN ATTACHMENT MAY ISSUE
AGAINST THE LAND OR INTEREST HELD BY DESCENT OR DEVISE
FROM THE PERSON INDEBTED.
