SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 268A be and it is hereby added to Article 27 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Crimes and Punishments,"
subheading "Gunning," to follow immediately after Section 268 thereof and to
read as follows:
268A.
IN QUEEN ANNE'S AND KENT COUNTIES EVERY PERSON WHO
HUNTS WITH GUN OR OTHER WEAPON UPON THE LANDS OF
ANOTHER WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING WRITTEN PERMISSION OR
LICENSE FROM THE OWNER OR POSSESSOR OF SAID LAND SHALL
BE GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION FOR THE
FIRST SUCH OFFENSE SHALL BE FINED BY THE JUDGE OF THE
DISTRICT COURT NOT LESS THAN TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY
DOLLARS ($250.00) OR MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($1,000.00). IN THE EVENT OF ANY FAILURE TO PAY A FINE,
FURTHER PROCEEDINGS SHALL BE HAD PURSUANT TO ARTICLE
38, SECTION 4. UPON THE SECOND OR ANY SUBSEQUENT
CONVICTIONS FOR THE SAME OFFENSE, THE PERSON SHALL BE
FINED NOT LESS THAN FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) OR MORE
THAN TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000.00); PROVIDED, HOWEVER,
THAT THE PERSON OR PERSONS CONVICTED BY THE DISTRICT
COURT SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO APPEAL TO THE CIRCUIT
COURT WITHIN THIRTY DAYS FROM THE DATE OF CONVICTION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 19(5) of Article 56 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume), title "Licenses,"
subtitle "Pinball Machines and Console Machines," amending a portion of the
laws concerning pinball machines and console machines in order to clarify the
application of this law to Wicomico County.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 19(5) of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume), title "Licenses," subtitle "Pinball
Machines and Console Machines," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
19.
(5) The provisions of this section shall only apply to Dorchester, Talbot,
Baltimore, Harford, [Wicomico] and Montgomery counties and Baltimore City
except that in Montgomery County no license shall be issued for free-play console
machines. In Wicomico County the application of the provisions of this section is
limited as hereinbelow provided.
