CHAPTER 308
(House Bill 573)

AN ACT to add new Section l(j) to Article 77A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Higher Education," subtitle
"Community Colleges," to follow immediately after Section l(i) thereof, to
permit employees of community colleges to enroll in courses for credit at their
community college under certain circumstances, at certain times and without
paying tuition charges.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section l(j) be and it is hereby added to Article 77A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Higher
Education," subtitle "Community Colleges," to follow immediately after Section
l(i) thereof, and to read as follows:

[[(J) EMPLOYEES OF COMMUNITY COLLEGES MAY ENROLL
WITHOUT CHARGE IN COURSES OFFERED BY THE COMMUNITY
COLLEGE AT WHICH THEY ARE EMPLOYED, BUT (I) NOT DURING
THE EMPLOYEE'S WORKING HOURS, AND (II) ONLY IF TEN (10) OR
MORE REGULARLY ENROLLED STUDENTS HAVE ENROLLED IN
THE COURSE.]]

(J) FULL-TIME CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES OF COMMUNITY
COLLEGES MAY ENROLL DURING THEIR NON-WORKING HOURS,
WITHOUT TUITION CHARGE, FOR CLASSES OFFERED BY THEIR
COMMUNITY COLLEGE WHICH HAVE AT LEAST TEN (10)
REGULARLY ENROLLED STUDENTS, SUCH EMPLOYEES SHALL NOT
BE INCLUDED IN THE COMPUTATION OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT
STUDENTS FOR THE PURPOSES OF FUNDING.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

Section 45 to Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "Record of
Assessments," and to add new Section 45(e) to the same Article, title, and
subtitle of the Code to follow immediately after Section 45(d) thereof, to
provide for the preparation and availability of certain Record of Assessment
Books, to provide that copies of assessment worksheets or cards are to be
