SEC. 50-4(J) . PENALTY FOR VIOLATION.
ANY PERSON, GROUP, OR ORGANIZATION OPERATING OR
ATTEMPTING TO OPERATE ANY SUCH BENEFIT PERFORMANCE IN
VIOLATION HEREOF SHALL, UPON CONVICTION OF SUCH
VIOLATION, BE SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING
$1,000.00 OR IMPRISONMENT IN JAIL FOR A PERIOD NOT
HOSE THAN SIX MONTHS, OR BOTH SUCH FINE AND
IMPRISONMENT AT THE DISCRETION OF THE COURT.
The County Council hereby declares that a public
emergency exists affecting the public health, safety
and welfare which requires that the effective date of
this Act be the date of its approval by the County
Executive, and further declares that this Act was
passed by the affirmative votes of two—thirds of the
members of the full Council. The public emergency
which prompts this declaration is the immediate and
continuing need of the above—noted groups and
organizations to raise sufficient funds to perform the
beneficial services which they render to the citizens
of Prince George's County.

AH ACT by the County Council to adopt proposed
amendments to the Prince George's County Charter
for submission to the voters at the next General
Election; to provide for a change of Section 316
of the Charter so as to change the Council's
Legislative days in April and clarify sessions
legal holidays.
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the County Council
of Prince George's County, Maryland, that Section 316
of the Charter be amended to read as follows:
Section 316. Council Sessions. The first and
third Tuesdays of January, February, March, April,
May, June, July, September, October and November,
except November in a Councilmatic Election year, or
