COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

EXISTING BUILDING, UNLESS SUCH USE IS DEEMED TO
ENDANGER PUBLIC SAFETY AND WELFARE.

(D) THERE IS HEREBY ESTABLISHED A FEE OR CHARGE
OF $5.00 PER UNIT FOR THE ISSUANCE OF A CERTIFICATE OF
USE AND OCCUPANCY PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION. THE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS SHALL ACCOUNT FOR AND PAY
OVER TO THE OFFICE OF FINANCE ALL FUNDS RECEIVED FROM
THE ISSUANCE OF SAID CERTIFICATES.

SECTION 2.       AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE

COUNTY COUNCIL OF   HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, That this

Act shall take     effect sixty (60) days after its
enactment.

This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and
returned to the Council, stands enacted on December 6,
1972.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 63

AN ACT to legalize the 1972 Edition of the Howard
County Code, as edited by Charles A. Reese,
Esquire, and Raymond J. Kane, Jr., Esquire,
approved by Robert F. Fischer, County Solicitor
of Howard County and published by Geo. W. King
Printing Company, and making it evidence of the
law of Howard County.

WHEREAS, Article II. Section 210(c) of the Howard
County Charter authorizes and directs the County
Council to provide for a compilation and codification
of the law of Howard County; and

WHEREAS, By virtue of Council Bill No. 24, 1970
Legislative Session, the County Council legalized and
adopted the 1970 Edition of the Howard County Code,
and declared same to be evidence of the laws of Howard
County, Maryland, and further directed that said Code
be periodically supplemented.
