SPECIFICATIONS___UNDER__THE__PROVISIONS__OF__THIS

SECTION, THE ROAD CONSTRUCTION CODE AND__STANDARD

SPECIFICATIONS_____ADOPTED___BY____THE____COUNTY

COMMISSIONERS OF HOWARD COUNTY ON MARCH 27, 1962,
SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AND SUBJECT
TO AMENDMENT.

Section 2.     AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY     THE

COUNTY COUNCIL     OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, that   this

Act shall take     effect sixty (60) days after     its

enactment.

This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and
returned to the Council, stands enacted on June 7,
1972.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 29

AH ACT to add new Sections 14.603 and 14.604 of title
14 of the Howard County Code, Title "Licenses,
Permits, and Inspections" to follow immediately
after Section 14.550 thereof and to be under the
new subtitle "Permit and Inspection Fees",
granting the Director of Public Works the
authority to establish and impose fees to be paid
by County, Non-County Residents and Commercial
collectors for the privilege of using the
Sanitary Landfill facilities in Howard County and
providing approval by the County Council of fees

established by__Director of Public Works,__and

generally relating thereto.

WHEREAS, IT IS THE POLICY OF THE COUNTY TO
COLLECT SOLID WASTE AND TRASH FROM RESIDENTIAL
PROPERTIES AND TO PERMIT HOWARD COUNTY RESIDENTS
ACCESS TO THE VARIOUS HOWARD COUNTY SANITARY LANDFILLS
IN ORDER THAT THEY CAN DISPOSE OF SOLID WASTE AND
TRASH.

WHEREAS, THIS BILL AUTHORIZES THE DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC WORKS TO ESTABLISH, IMPOSE AND COLLECT A FEE ON
NON-HOWARD COUNTY RESIDENTS AND ON COMMERCIAL
