COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

WORKS AND FURTHER STATING THAT ANY INTERESTED
PERSON WILL BE HEARD BY THE DIRECTOR AT A TIME
SPECIFIED IN SAID NOTICE.]] ANY PROPOSED CODE OR

AMENDMENTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE BOARD OF

PUBLIC WORKS, WHO SHALL SCHEDULE A PUBLIC HEARING

ON THE PROPOSED CODE OR AMENDMENTS WITHIN THIRTY

(30) DAYS OF RECEIPT OF THE PROPOSED CODE OR

AMENDMENTS. A BRIEF EXPLANATION OF THE CODE OR

AMENDMENTS. AND THE TIME AND PLACE OF THE PUBLIC

HEARING BEFORE THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS SHALL BE

PUBLISHED IN AT LEAST TWO NEWSPAPERS OF GENERAL

CIRCULATION PUBLISHED IN THE COUNTY. THE BOARD

OF PUBLIC WORKS MAY MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS.

(C) THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS SHALL
THEREAFTER PRESENT THE STANDARDS AND
SPECIFICATIONS OR AMENDMENTS TO THE COUNTY
COUNCIL FOR ADOPTION [[THEREOF,]] BY APPROPRIATE
RESOLUTION.

SECTION 2.      AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE

COUNTY COUNCIL     OF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND, that this

Act shall take     effect sixty (60) clays after its
enactment.

This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and
returned to the Council, stands enacted on June 7,
1972.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 27

AN ACT to repeal Section 18.203 of title 18 of the
Howard County Code, Title "Public Works,"
subtitle "Public Utilities" and to enact new
Section 18.203 in lieu thereof, to stand in the
place of the Section repealed, to grant authority
and provide a procedure for adoption of water and
sewer standards and specifications and further
providing____that ___existing standards and
