AN ORDINANCE to amend the Charter of Anne Arundel
County, Maryland, by repealing and re—enacting,
with amendments, Section 902 (c) thereof, Article
IX, "Centralized Purchasing", to require the
County Purchasing Agent's system of property
accounting and stores control to be maintained as
established and directed by the Office of
Finance, and to submit said amendment to the
qualified voters of Anne Arundel County,
Maryland, for their adoption or rejection.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL
OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 902
(c), Article IX, "Centralized Purchasing", of the
Charter of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, be, and it
is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
Section 902 County Purchasing policies and practices
(c) The operation of a uniform and modern system
of property accounting and stores control [based upon
perpetual inventory] AS ESTABLISHED BY, AND UNDER THE
DIRECTION OF, THE OFFICE OF FINANCE.
SECTION 2- AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if
any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid
for any reason, such invalidity shall not affect the
other provisions or any other application, and to this
end, all the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
declared to be severable.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That as
the next general election to be held in this State on
November 1, 1972, the foregoing section hereby
proposed as an amendment to the Charter of Anne
Arundel County, shall be submitted to the legal and
qualified voters of Anne Arundel County for their
adoption or rejection pursuant to Section 1202 of the
Charter of Anne Arundel County and at the said general
