ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty-five (45) days from
the date it becomes law, provided that the provisions
thereof shall be applied retroactively to the weekly
pay period [[next succeeding]] BEGINNING July 3, 1972
and to the bi-weekly pay period next succeeding June
30, 1972.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal Section 1-216.2 (a) of the Anne
Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle
2, "Personnel", Article II, "Classified Service",
and to enact new Section 1-216.2 (a) in lieu
thereof, to stand in the place of the section
repealed, increasing the compensation of certain
County employees within the Public Safety Pay
Schedule.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL
OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section
1-216.2(a) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 1, "Administration",
Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article II, "Classified
Service", be, and it is hereby repealed, and that new
Section 1—216.2 (a) be, and it is hereby enacted in
lieu thereof to stand in the place of the section
repealed, to read as follows:

SECTION 1-216.2

(A) THE PUBLIC SAFETY PAY SCHEDULE WITH
TWENTY-FOUR (24) GRADES, A MINIMUM, INCREMENT STEPS,
AND A MAXIMUM IS AS FOLLOWS:
