ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY

SURFACES. ALIGNMENT SHALL BE SAFE AND CONVENIENT TO
BACK A CAB OUT OR AN ADEQUATE TURNAROUND SHALL BE
PROVIDED."

(53) Immediately below Subsection 1502.2, insert
the following new Subsection 1502.3:

"SUBSECTION 1502.3. GROUNDING ELECTRODE:
IN ORDER TO PROVIDE AN ADEQUATE ELECTRICAL GROUND FOR
THOSE STRUCTURES WHICH DO NOT HAVE WATER PROVIDED BY A
METALLIC WATER SERVICE LINE (PUBLIC OR PRIVATE) A
GROUNDING ELECTRODE SHALL BE PROVIDED. SAID ELECTRODE
SHALL CONSIST OF A MINIMUM HORIZONTAL LENGTH OF TWENTY
FEET (20') BABE COPPER CONDUCTOR PLACED ALONG THE
BOTTOM OF THE FOOTING EXCAVATION PRIOR TO POURING OF
THE CONCRETE. THE CONDUCTOR SHALL BE LOCATED NEAREST
THE EXPECTED ELECTRIC LEAD IN TO THE BUILDING BY THE
UTILITY COMPANY, AND SHALL BE EXTENDED TO PROVIDE A
MINIMUM OF SIX INCHES (6") OF WIRE ABOVE THE FINISHED
GRADE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE FOUNDATION WALL. THE
ELECTRODE SIZE IN DIAMETER SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS:

Over 200 to 300 Amp.                                                            #2

" 300 to 400 Amp.                                                            #1/0

(54)    Strike the first paragraph of Section
1700.0 and insert the following new paragraph in lieu
thereof, to read as follows:

"SECTION 1700.0. SCOPE

"THE DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF PLUMBING
SYSTEMS (INCLUDING SANITARY AND STORM DRAINAGE,
SANITARY FACILITIES, WATER SUPPLIES AND STORM WATER
AND SEWERAGE DISPOSAL) IN BUILDINGS SHALL COMPLY WITH
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE AND ACCEPTED
ENGINEERING PRACTICE AS PROVIDED IN THE ANNE ARUNDEL
COUNTY PLUMBING CODE. WHERE ANY DIFFERENCES IN THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE AND SAID COUNTY PLUMBING
CODE OCCUR, THE MORE RESTRICTIVE SHALL APPLY."

(55)   Strike all of Subsection 1704.6.

(56)   Strike all of Subsection 1707.0.
