AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to add new Sections 12-2100
through 12-2108, inclusive, to the Anne Arundel
County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title
12, "Licenses, Permits and Franchises", to follow
immediately after Section 12-2039 thereof and to
be under the new Subtitle 21, "Swimming Pools",
to require the licensing of public swimming
pools, operators and lifeguards; to provide fees,
standards and regulations therefor, and to
provide penalties for the violation thereof; and
matters generally related thereto.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That new Sections
12-2100 through 12-2108, inclusive, be, and they are
hereby added to the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 12, "Licenses, Permits
and Franchises", to follow immediately after Section
12-2039 thereof and to be under the new Subtitle 21,
"Swimming Pools", to read as follows:
SECTION 12-2100
FOR PURPOSES OF THIS SUBTITLE, THE BELOW LISTED
TERMS SHALL BE DEFINED AS FOLLOWS:
(1) APPROVING AUTHORITY - THE COUNTY HEALTH
OFFICER OR HIS DESIGNEE.
(2) OPERATOR - ANY PERSON DESIGNATED TO BE IN
IMMEDIATE CONTROL OF A SWIMMING POOL BY THE OWNER
THEREOF. SAID PERSON SHALL BE AUTHORIZED TO ACCEPT
NOTICES OF VIOLATION OF THIS SUBTITLE.
(3) OWNER - ANY PERSON, COOPERATIVE, ASSOCIATION,
