2414 MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
All real and tangible personal property within the limits of the City of Salisbury,
or which may have a situs there by reason of the residence of the owner therein,
shall be subject to taxation for municipal purposes, and the assessment for said
purpose shall be the same as that for state and county purposes. The mayor and
council of Salisbury shall not tax property for all general purposes other than
servicing bonds at a rate greater than [one dollar twenty cents] ONE
DOLLAR SEVENTY CENTS on each one hundred dollars of assessed
valuation."
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SALISBURY that the Mayor of The City of Salisbury be, and hereby is,
authorized and directed to give notice by posting and publication as required by
Article 23A of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland; and the amendment
herein proposed shall become effective upon the expiration of the time limit therein
contained.
THE ABOVE RESOLUTION was introduced at the regular meeting of the
Council of The City of Salisbury, held on the 22nd day of March, 1971, and
having been duly published in the meantime became effective on the 11th day of
May, 1971.

A RESOLUTION of the Council of the City of Salisbury proposing the
annexation to the City of Salisbury of a certain area of land situated contiguous
to and binding upon the Southerly corporate limits of the City of Salisbury,
popularly known as the "Canal Park Area" and bounded on the West by South
Salisbury Boulevard and bounded on the the South in part by the Southerly
finger of Tony Tank Pond and in part by Honeysuckle Drive and in part by the
Southerly line of the Perdue land and bounded on the East in part by South
Division Street, but extending Westerly across said South Division Street in the
vicinity of Olney Road and the existing corporate limits and bounded on the
North by the existing corporate limits of the City of Salisbury and providing for
