115.00 feet to the center of the County Road; thence by and with the center of said
County Road three courses and distances, North 31 °30' East 418.88 feet to a
point, thence North 3 °30' West 355.75 feet to a point, thence North 40 °00' East
220.00 feet to a point in said County Road; thence North 58 °23' West 2383.00 feet
to a monument on the Middletown High School property about 2 feet east of the
Herman Coblentz property thence North 71 °42' 10" West 2800.84 feet to a
monument on the Oliver Hooper property at an outline of the Laura C. Korrell
property; thence South 77 °28' 24 West 1468.00 feet to a monument on the
Emmett H. Markwood, et al, property; thence by and with the outlines of said
property seven courses and distances; North 35 °00' East 272.32 feet to an iron
pipe; thence North 36 °08' West 1005.00 feet to a planted stone; thence South
59 °00' West 561.00 feet to a stake; thence South 79 °30' West 99.00 feet to a
stake; thence South 63 °30' West 429.00 feet to a stake; thence South 27 °30' West
630.57 feet to a point in the center of the aforesaid National Turnpike Road;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Burgess and Commissioners of
Middletown shall give notice of this Resolution by posting an exact copy of the
same at town office and by providing for the publication of the same in a
newspaper of general circulation within the corporate limits of said municipality no
fewer than four times at not less than weekly intervals after the adoption of this
Resolution.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the authority aforesaid that a public
hearing on the Resolution shall be held by the Burgess and Commissioners of
Middletown on Monday evening, January 8, 1973, at 8:00 p.m. in the Fire Hall on
South Church Street, Middletown, Maryland.

RESOLUTION OF THE BURGESS AND COMMISSIONERS OF

MIDDLETOWN

A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND
TO AMEND THE CHARTER

RESOLUTION of the Burgess and Commissioners of Middletown, adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article 11-E of the Constitution of Maryland, and
Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 (1966
Replacement Volume), title "Corporations - Municipal," to repeal and re-enact,
with amendments, Section 20-21, Article II of Chapter 20 of the Frederick County
Code, 1959, so as to provide that the age of voters shall be 18 years rather than 21
years, and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 20-24, Article II, of
Chapter 20 of the Frederick County Code, 1959, so as to provide that the Burgess
and Commissioners of said municipal corporation, at the time of their election,
