2286                                    MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

intersects the east right of way line of the P. B. and W. Railroad; thence with the
east right of way line of the said Railroad; in a northerly direction a distance of
600 feet more or less; then leaving said Railroad and running in a northwesterly
direction to a point of intersection of the old State Road leading from La Plata to
Washington and the old County Road known as "May Day Road" or the "The
Cox Mill Road"; thence in a westerly direction following the center line of the said
old County Road to the northwest corner of Rudolph Garner's land; thence in a
southerly direction along the said Garner line until it intersects the line of the
Posey land; thence in a westerly direction along the north boundary of the Posey
and Clark land to the west side of a private roadway leading to the lands of
George Johnson, et. al.; thence southerly in a straight line until this line
intersects the run or stream directly in back of Sacred Heart School; thence with
said stream in a westerly direction until it intersects the private roadway leading to
the home of Hal Barnes; thence in a southerly direction to a large black walnut
tree standing about 20 feet north of a private cemetery on the land of James Wills;
thence in a southeasterly direction to the southwest corner of Frank Simms'
property; thence with the south boundary line of said Simms' property running in
an easterly direction to the east side of U.S. Route 301; thence S 05 deg 04 min W
197.0 feet; thence leaving U.S. Route 301 S 63 deg 36 min E 360.01 feet; thence S
11 deg 07 min E 653.39 feet; thence S 80 deg 10 min E 486.3 feet to the east side of
St. Mary's Avenue, thence with the east side of St. Mary's Avenue in a southerly
direction to a pipe in the southwest corner of the Thomas C. Hayden property;
thence N 85 deg 30'-23" E 553.49 feet; thence N 15 deg 20'-34" E 480.13 feet;
thence N 12 deg 19' 19" E - 175.31 feet; thence N 07 deg 38'-35" E 145.52 feet;
thence N 04 deg-21' -18"E - 75.60 feet; thence N 01 deg 34'-23"E - 94.22 feet;
thence N 00 deg 44' - 21" W - 71.64 feet; thence N 03 deg 02' - 21" W 804.29
feet; thence S 86 deg - 25'-48" E - 3015 feet to the stream known as Clark Run;
thence running up and with the stream in a northerly direction as it meanders to
the point of beginning.

LAUREL

Charter Amendment No. 1st 1971

A RESOLUTION of the City of Laurel adopted pursuant to the provisions of
Article 23A, Sections 11 through 18, titled Corporations - Municipal, subtitled
Charter Amendments, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement
Volume) to amend the Charter of the City of Laurel, Section 49-12(a) entitled
"Elections - General Provisions - Voters; Qualifications," by the exclusion of the
words "twenty-one" and the substitution therefor of the word "eighteen."
