RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the consent of more than twenty-five percent (25%) of the
registered voting residents, and twenty-five percent (25%) of the real property
owners of the land known as "Wesco", having consented to the annexation of such
land by the Burgess and Commissioners of Emmitsburg, and proper Notice of a
Hearing of said annexation having been given by publication in the Emmitsburg
Chronicle and said public hearing having been held on May 1. 1972 at 7:30 P.M.
at the Town Office, East Main Street. Emmitsburg, Maryland.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the land known as "Wesco", being described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pipe at the intersection of
lines (2) and (3) as shown on the Plat description
of the Corporate Limits of the town of Emmitsburg,
dated 14 February, 1972 thence by lands of Emmit
Gardens, N 24°26' 11" E 820.06' to a point on the
southern boundary of State Route 97, S 76°19' 20"
E 506.14' to a point at the lands of Mrs. Regis
Sanders; thence by the lands of Mrs. Regis Sanders,
S 21°43' 49" W 913.62' to an iron pipe at the
lands of Harry Swomley, thence N 65°46' 11" W
540.38' to the place of beginning, be added to the
Corporate Limits of the Town of Emmitsburg;
AND, FURTHER RESOLVED, that persons and property therein shall be
generally subject to the provisions of the Charter of the Town of Emmitsburg,
Maryland.
