RESOLUTION NO. 10

of the
MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS

OF THE

CITY OF DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MARYLAND
AMENDING SECTION 22-23 OF THE CITY CHARTER

TITLE-An amendment to the City Charter Section (22-23) to change the
regularly required registration day from the first Monday in April in every year to
the last Monday in March in every year and providing further that no voter shall
be permitted to register during the last thirty days immediately preceding the
regular election day on the first Monday in May of each year and providing
further that any voter who fails to vote within the five preceding calendar years
shall be stricken from the registration lists.

SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMISSION
of the City of District Heights, pursuant to Article 23A Section 12 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition, as amended, that Section 22-23 of the present
Charter of the City of District Heights as adopted January 20, 1962, be amended
by deleting therefrom the provision that there shall be a registration day on the
first Monday in April of each year and substituting therefor the provision that
there shall be a registration day on the last Monday in March of each year and
providing further that no voter shall be permitted to register during the last thirty
days immediately preceding the regular election day on the first Monday in May
of each year and adding the provision that any registered voter who fails to vote
within the five preceding calendar years shall be stricken from the registration rolls.
