CHEVY CHASE VILLAGE                                   2161

Section No. 6, Chevy Chase, recorded among the land records of Montgomery
County, Maryland at Plat Book 3, plat 258), then 329.84 feet (resurveyed) along a
line N. 54° 21' 34" W. to a stone marker located where said line intersects the
southeastern boundary of Brookeville Road, then along the southeastern boundary
of Brookeville Road to the point where it intersects with the northeastern boundary
of Broadbranch Road, then along the northeastern boundary of Broadbranch Road
to the starting point at the stone marker at the intersection of Western Avenue and
Broadbranch Road.

And, it is further

RESOLVED, That all of the territory hereby annexed to Chevy Chase Village
and the persons residing thereon shall, after the effective date of this Resolution,
be subject to the provisions of the Charter, Ordinances and Regulations of Chevy
Chase Village.

The foregoing Resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Board of
Managers of Chevy Chase Village, sitting as legislative body, on the 13th day of
March, 1972.

AMENDMENT TO CHARTER

WHEREAS, Sections 6 and 7 located in Chevy Chase, Montgomery County,
Maryland, have been duly annexed pursuant to the provisions of Article 23A of the
Maryland Code of Laws Section 19, and

WHEREAS, It is desirable to reflect in the Charter the new boundaries of
Chevy Chase Village in lieu of the former boundaries,

NOW THEREFORE, be it

RESOLVED, That Sections 52-1 and 52-2 of the Chevy Chase Village Charter
as recorded in the Montgomery County Code (as amended 1965) be revised to
reflect the Amendment to the Village Charter of April 27, 1972 annexing Sections
6 and 7 as follows:

52-1 (74, 122-1 former Code Sections) (Area Incorporated). The inhabitants of
Sections I, 2 part of 1(a) and 6 and 7 of the Village of Chevy Chase, Montgomery
County, Maryland, are hereby constituted a body corporate and specifically a town
as that term is used in the laws of the State of Maryland, by the name of "Chevy
Chase Village," with all the powers and privileges of a body politic and corporate,
and by that name may have perpetual succession, sue and be sued, plead and be
impleaded in any court of law or equity, may have the use of a common seal, and
hold real, personal and mixed property when the best interests of the town so
demand. The repealing of the former Section 74 of the 1947 Edition of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Montgomery County, and the enactment of this new section
shall not be construed as terminating the existence of the corporation known as
"Chevy Chase Village" but shall be construed as continuing the existence of the
