It is hereby resolved by the Town Council of Chesapeake Beach, Calvert County,
Maryland, that the following amendment shall be made to the Town Charter, 1970
supplement now included in the "Code of the Public Local Laws of Calvert
County" published in 1970.

Section Finance, Article 59.

Delete first word November from first sentence and add word July.

First sentence will now read:
Section Finance:

Article 59. When taxes are overdue.

The taxes provided for in Section 57 of this charter shall be due and
payable on the first day of July in the year for which they are levied and shall be
overdue and in arrears on the first day of the following November. The balance of
Article 59 shall remain as printed.

CERTIFICATE OF RECORDING OFFICER

The undersigned duly qualified Clerk of the Town Council of Chesapeake Beach,
Calvert County, Maryland, does hereby certify that the above Resolution is a true
and correct copy of the Resolution as adopted at a duly authorized meeting of the
Town Council of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, held on January 28, 1972, and
properly introduced at a duly authorized meeting of the Town Council held on
November 26, 1971.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and the seal of the

Council at a duly authorized meeting held on January 28, 1972, and approve same,

RESOLUTION

It is hereby resolved by the Town Council of Chesapeake Beach, Calvert County,
Maryland that the following amendments shall be made to the Town Charter and
its 1970 supplements now included in the "Code of the Public Local Laws of
Calvert County" published in 1963:

WHEREAS, Recent Court decisions have held that the ownership of
property is not a necessary requirement of the right to vote, and
