[(d) That for the purpose of levying any tax upon the furniture, fixtures, tools,
machinery or equipment of every person, firm or corporation engaged in any
manufacturing or commercial business in the Town, said furniture, fixtures, tools,
machinery or equipment shall be valued and assessed to the owner thereof at sixty
per centum (60%) of its assessed valuation as established by the assessment records
of Queen Anne's County or the State of Maryland; the Town Clerk in preparing
his tax roll as set forth in subsection A of this Section shall make the necessary
adjustments from the assessments he obtains from Queen Anne's County or the
State of Maryland in order to enroll the assessment of sixty per centum (60%) of
value. 1
SUBSECTION 2: And be it further resolved that this Resolution shall take
effect this 29th day of December, 1971.

A RESOLUTION to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 58 of
Article IV of the Town Charter of the Town of Centreville (May 1965) Article IV
being entitled "Elections" Section 58 being subtitled "Voters" to change the
provisions relating to the qualifications of voters so that people that do not own
property in the Town but are residents of the Town of Centreville for twelve
months plus meeting other qualifications are qualified voters; and so that eighteen
year olds meeting the other qualifications are qualified voters; and so that owners
of property who have not paid their taxes by December 31st of the year and meet
the qualifications are qualified voters.
SECTION 1: Be it resolved by The Commissioners of the Town of Centreville,
Maryland, that Article IV entitled, "Elections" Section 58 Subtitled "Voters" be
repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:
58. Voters. Every person who
(a) is a citizen of the United States.
(b) [has resided in the State of Maryland for at least one year next preceding
any Town Election.]
(c) is at least [twenty-one] EIGHTEEN years of age.
(d) has resided within [Queen Anne's County] THE TOWN OF
CENTREVILLE for at least [six] TWELVE months, next preceding any Town
Election; OR
