any dangerous weapon of any character within the city limits of the Town of
Brunswick, providing for a permit therefore, and proscribing the penalties for the
violation of the same", be repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read
as follows:
SECTION 3. Be it further enacted and ordained by the Mayor and Council of
Brunswick that the violation of this Ordinance shall be punishable by a fine not to
exceed [Three Hundred Dollars - $300,00] ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS -
$100.00 or by imprisonment in the [City] COUNTY JAIL for not more than six
(6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.
BE IT FURTHER ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND
COUNCIL OF BRUNSWICK that this amendment shall take effective (sic) from
the date of its passage.

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT WITH AMENDMENTS
SECTION 16-13 OF ARTICLE II. OF THE CHARTER OF BRUNSWICK,
TITLE "ELECTIONS", SUBTITLE "QUALIFICATIONS OF VOTERS"
(THE CODE OF THE COUNTY OF FREDERICK, MARYLAND) TO
ELIMINATE THE DURATIONAL RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS
THEREFROM.
RESOLVED: That Section 16-13 of Article II. of the Charter of Brunswick,
title "Elections", subtitle "Qualifications of Voters" (Code of the County of
Frederick, Maryland) be repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read
as follows:
The male and female inhabitants of the Town of Brunswick who, at the date
of any municipal election therein, are respectively eighteen (18) years of age and
qualified and entitled to vote under the Constitution and laws of the State at any
State election held in the State, [have been] AND ARE bona fide residents of the
Town [for one year] and of the ward wherein they propose to vote [for thirty days
preceding such election] and who are registered as required by this Article shall be
entitled to vote at any municipal election.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a complete and exact copy of the
aforegoing Resolution be posted at the Brunswick City Hall for a period of at least
forty (40) days commencing on April 11, 1972; and that a fair summary of the
aforegoing Resolution be published in the Frederick News-Post at least four (4)
times at weekly intervals during the aforesaid forty (40) day period; and the
aforegoing Resolution shall become a part of the municipal charter of Brunswick
on the fiftieth (50th) day following its adoption unless a petition requesting a
referendum on the matter is submitted to the Mayor and Council of Brunswick on
