BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that the proposed amendment
will become and be considered a part of the Municipal Charter of the Town of
Brentwood on the 22nd day of August, 1972, unless a petition is filed pursuant to
Article 23(a), Section 13, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition as
amended, said petition to be filed on or before the 12th day of August, 1972.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that the aforegoing Resolution
and Ordinance be and the same is hereby adopted this 3rd day of July, 1972, by
the Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland.

A RESOLUTION TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT WITH AMENDMENTS
SECTION 16-4 OF ARTICLE 1 OF THE CHARTER OF BRUNSWICK,
TITLE "IN GENERAL", SUBTITLE "PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF
TOWN ORDINANCES", (THE CODE OF THE COUNTY OF FREDERICK,
MARYLAND) TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM FINE WHICH MAY BE
FIXED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY
OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN, TO REMOVE THE PROVISION
FOR THE CONFINEMENT OF A PARTY IN THE TOWN LOCKUP FOR
FAILING TO PAY ANY SUCH FINES, AND REMOVING THE
REFERENCE TO A TRIAL MAGISTRATE THEREFROM AND
SUBSTITUTING A JUDGE OF THE DISTRICT COURT OF MARYLAND
THEREFOR.
RESOLVED, that Section 16-4 of Article I of the Charter of Brunswick, Title
"In General", Subtitle "Penalties for Violation of Town Ordinances", (Code of the
County of Frederick, Maryland) be repealed and re-enacted with amendments so
as to read as follows:
