CHAPTER 877
(House Bill 1530)
AN ACT to add new Section 5B to Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1966 Replacement Volume and 1971 Supplement), title "County
Commissioners," subtitle "General Provisions," to follow immediately after
Section 5A thereof, to require the County Commissioners of Cecil County to
hold a public meeting one evening of each week, in addition to regularly
scheduled meetings.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 5B be and it is hereby added to Article 25 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1971 Supplement),
title "County Commissioners," subtitle "General Provisions," to follow
immediately after Section 5A thereof, and to read as follows:
5B.
THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CECIL COUNTY, IN ADDITION
TO REGULARLY SCHEDULED WEEKDAY MEETINGS, SHALL HOLD A
PUBLIC MEETING ONE EVENING OF EACH WEEK TO TRANSACT
OFFICIAL BUSINESS.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 12B of Article 27 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes
and Punishments," subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Bail or
Recognizance - Violation of," to provide that, I [in any criminal case in either
the State Circuit Courts or in the Criminal Court of Baltimore or in Criminal
Court No. 2 of Baltimore, whenever]] any person charged with a criminal
offense who has been admitted to bail or released on recognizance forfeits the
bail or recognizance and willfully fails to surrender himself a bench warrant
shall issue for his arrest; and to reletter certain subsections of this section.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 12B of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle
"Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Bail or Recognizance - Violation of," be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
