meeting shall be entitled to cast the same number of votes as that county or
legislative district of Baltimore City shall be entitled to elect to the House of
Delegates of Maryland. Any vacancy in the party central committee for any
county or legislative district of Baltimore City, Anne Arundel or Baltimore
counties shall be filled by the remaining members of the committee elected from
that county or legislative district of Baltimore City, Anne Arundel or Baltimore
counties.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 815
(House Bill 926)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 77(b) of Article 78 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Public
Service Commission Law," subtitle "Procedure Before Commission," to provide
that [[County Councils]] local legislative bodies may initiate certain
investigations before the public service Commission.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 77(b) of Article 78 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Public Service Commission Law,"
subtitle "Procedure Before Commission," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
77.
(b) If any complaint is filed with the Commission which concerns the
illuminating power, purity or pressure of gas; or the initial efficiency of the electric
incandescent lamp supply; or the regulation of the voltage of the said supply
system or the price of gas or electricity, and the complaint is signed by the chief
executive OR [[COUNTY COUNCIL]] LOCAL LEGISLATIVE BODIES of
any municipality or county in which any gas or electric company is authorized to
operate, or by not less than 100 customers of the gas or electric company, whose
names and addresses by street and number, if any, are set out in the complaint, the
Commission shall not take final action thereon without itself conducting an
investigation of the matters complained of.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
