CHAPTER 810
(House Bill 861)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 155(j) of Article 2B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic
Beverages," subtitle "Boards of License Commissioners," to increase the annual
salary of certain members of the Board of License Commissioners of Charles
County.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 155(j) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle
"Boards of License Commissioners," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
155.
(j) In Charles County the chairman of the board shall receive an annual salary
of [seven hundred dollars ($700.00)] ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00)
and the two associate members an annual salary of [five hundred dollars
($500.00)] SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($750.00) each. The
board shall appoint a clerk who shall receive an annual salary of [seven hundred
dollars ($700.00)] EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($800.00); and the board shall
have authority to expend annually such additional sum or sums as may be
necessary, not exceeding $250.00, to cover other expenses. The attorney to the
County Commissioners shall serve as the attorney to the board, and for such
service shall receive an annual salary of [$800,00] NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($900.00).
[[SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the provisions of
this Act shall not be construed to extend or apply to the Chairman, Associate
Members, the Clerk, or the Attorney to the Board of License Commissioners of
Charles County in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this
Act shall take effect with the next term of office.]]
SECTION [[3]] 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to add new Section 32 to Article 16 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1966 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Chancery," subtitle
"Divorce and Annulment," to follow immediately after Section 31 thereof, to
provide I [that in any divorce decree the woman shall have the option to regain
her maiden name, without instituting a new action.]] that a final divorce decree
may include a restoration of the woman's former name.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 32 be and it is hereby added to Article 16 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement),
title "Chancery," subtitle "Divorce and Annulment," to follow immediately after
