(b) The Department of Natural Resources, if it believes the institution of suit to
be advisable, shall turn over to the Attorney General all pertinent information and
data. The Attorney General thereupon shall file suit against the person or persons
causing the condition complained of, who shall be jointly and severally liable for
the reasonable cost of rehabilitation and restoration of the resources damaged and
the cost of eliminating the condition causing the damage, INCLUDING THE
ENVIRONMENTAL MONETARY VALUE OF SUCH RESOURCES AS
ESTABLISHED BY REGULATION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

(Senate Bill 1095)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 31(a) of Article 59 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Mental Hygiene," subtitle "Facilities," and to repeal and
re-enact, with amendments, Section 19(a) of Article 59A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Mental
Retardation," subtitle "Facilities," to change the names of existing public
facilities under the general jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Mental Hygiene
from "State Hospital" to [["Center."]] "Hospital Center." and to change the
names of existing public facilities under the general jurisdiction of the Mental
Retardation Administration from "State Hospital" to [["Center."]] "Hospital
Center."

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 31(a) of Article 59 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Mental
Hygiene," subtitle "Facilities," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

31.

(a) The following existing facilities shall be maintained as public facilities under
the general jurisdiction of the Commissioner.

[Spring Grove State Hospital] SPRING GROVE HOSPITAL CENTER
[Springfield State Hospital] SPRINGFIELD HOSPITAL CENTER
[Eastern Shore State Hospital] EASTERN SHORE HOSPITAL CENTER
[Crownsville State Hospital] CROWNSVILLE HOSPITAL CENTER

[Clifton T. Perkins State Hospital] CLIFTON T. PERKINS HOSPITAL
CENTER

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 19(a) of
Article 59A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and
1972 Supplement), title "Mental Retardation," subtitle "Facilities," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
