UPON THE CONVICTION THEREOF BE FINED NOT MORE THAN
$1,000.00 OR IMPRISONED FOR NOT MORE THAN ONE YEAR OR
BOTH. IF A CORPORATION VIOLATES THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SECTION THE OFFICER OR OFFICERS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE
VIOLATION SHALL BE IMPRISONED OR FINED AS PROVIDED
HEREIN.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any provision of
this Act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid for
any reason, the invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or any other
application of this Act which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or
application, and to this end all the provisions of this Act are declared to be
severable.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

(Senate Bill 883)
AN ACT to add new Sections 174A through 174-I to Article 66C of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume), title "Natural
Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game and Fish," to follow immediately after
Section 174 thereof, and to be under the new subheading "Wild Waterfowl
Feeding Plan," to provide a feeding plan for wild waterfowl; stating the
purposes of the subheading; defining terms; providing for an application fee and
an annual license fee; providing the authority to the [[Fish and Wildlife
Administration]] Department of Natural Resources to implement this feeding
system; providing certain rules and regulations regarding feeding zones and
shooting areas; providing for inspection of such zones and areas; exempting
certain governmental agencies; providing certain exceptions for individuals; and
providing that this subheading applies in addition to any applicable Federal laws
or regulations.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections 174A through 174-I be and the same are hereby
added to Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement
Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Birds, Game and Fish," to follow
immediately after Section 174 thereof, and to be under the new subheading "Wild
Waterfowl Feeding Plan," and to read as follows:

174A.
IN ORDER TO AID IN RELIEVING CROP DEPREDATIONS AND TO
PROVIDE FURTHER PROTECTION TO MIGRATORY WATERFOWL,
ANY PERSON OR GROUP OF PERSONS, INDIVIDUALLY OR
COLLECTIVELY, MAY APPLY TO THE [[FISH AND WILDLIFE
ADMINISTRATION]] DEPARTMENT FOR A LICENSE TO FEED
