SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take

AN ACT to add new Section 71A to Article 35 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Evidence,"
subtitle "Public Statutes, Office Copies and Official Certificates," to follow
immediately after Section 71 thereof, to provide that a [[copy]] photocopy of
any of the books, papers, entries of proceedings in the custody of or in the
office of the State Administrative Board of Election Laws under the seal of its
office and certifying to the correctness thereof shall be evidence[[.]] and
relating to the evidence.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 71A be and it is hereby added to Article 35 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Evidence," subtitle "Public Statutes, Office Copies and Official
Certificates," to follow immediately after Section 71 thereof, and all to read as
follows:

71A.

A [[COPY]] PHOTOCOPY OF ANY OF THE PAPERS, BOOKS,
ENTRIES, OR PROCEEDINGS IN THE CUSTODY OF OR IN THE
OFFICE OF THE STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION
LAWS, UNDER THE SEAL OF ITS OFFICE AND CERTIFYING TO THE
CORRECTNESS          THEREOF,          SHALL          BE           [[EVIDENCE]]

[[ADMISSABLE]] ADMISSIBLE EVIDENCE IN LIEU OF THE
