Ch. 657                           MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                              1367

IF THE REPRESENTATIVE HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY DENIED THE
RIGHT OF ENTRY. [[UPON REQUEST OF THE CASEWORKER]] A
LAW-ENFORCEMENT OFFICER SHALL ACCOMPANY THE
[[CASEWORKER]] REPRESENTATIVE, AND HE MAY USE
REASONABLE FORCE, IF NECESSARY, TO ASSURE THAT THE
[[CASEWORKER]] REPRESENTATIVE IS ABLE TO GAIN ENTRY. IF
THE DANGER PROVES TO BE GENUINE, THE [[CASEWORKER]]
REPRESENTATIVE MAY REMOVE THE CHILD OR CHILDREN FROM
THE HOUSEHOLD TEMPORARILY WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL BY
THE JUVENILE COURT.

IF THE CHILD IS REMOVED FROM THE HOUSEHOLD UNDER THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, THE LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF
SOCIAL SERVICES SHALL HAVE THE CHILD THOROUGHLY
EXAMINED BY A PHYSICIAN, AND THE REPORT OF THIS
EXAMINATION SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE REPORT MADE
UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SUBSECTION (E) WITHIN THE TIME
SPECIFIED.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 657
(Senate Bill 161)

AN ACT to add new Section 467A to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Crimes and
Punishments," subtitle "I. Crimes and Punishments," to follow immediately
after Section 467 thereof and to be under the new subheading "Recorded
Material - Unauthorized Copies," to prohibit the unauthorized copying of
certain recorded materials for sale, to prohibit the sale of such unauthorized
copies, and to provide penalties therefor.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 467A be and it is hereby added to Article 27 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "I. Crimes and
Punishments," to follow immediately after Section 467 thereof and to be under the
new subtitle "Recorded Material - Unauthorized Copies," and to read as follows:

RECORDED MATERIAL - UNAUTHORIZED COPIES

467A.

(A) UNLESS EXEMPT UNDER SUBSECTION [(B)] (C), IT IS
UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON FIRM, PARTNERSHIP,
CORPORATION, OR ASSOCIATION KNOWINGLY TO (1) TRANSFER
OR CAUSE TO BE TRANSFERRED ANY SOUNDS RECORDED ON A
PHONOGRAPH RECORD, DISC, WIRE, TAPE, FILM, OR OTHER
ARTICLE ON WHICH SOUNDS ARE RECORDED ONTO ANY OTHER
