SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 268A be and it is hereby added to Article 27 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "I. Crimes and
Punishments," subheading "Gunning," to follow immediately after Section 268
thereof, and to read as follows:
268A.
EVERY PERSON WHO SHALL, UPON ANY PRETENSE WHATEVER,
COME TO HUNT WITH GUN ANY GAME UPON THE LANDS OF
ANOTHER IN HARFORD COUNTY WITHOUT WRITTEN LEAVE OR
LICENSE FROM THE OWNER OR POSSESSORS THEREOF, SHALL BE
DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR, AND ON CONVICTION
THEREOF SHALL BE FINED NOT LESS THAN FIVE NOR MORE THAN
TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

(House Bill 1161)
AN ACT to repeal Section 18 of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1972 Replacement Volume), title "Juries," providing that aliens are not entitled
to juries per medietatem linguae, and declaring that the Statute of 28 Edward
III Chapter 13 is of no force or effect in this State.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 18 of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1972 Replacement Volume), title "Juries," relating to the trial of an alien, be and
it is hereby repealed:
[18.
Any alien, denizen or foreigner who may be indicted for any offense committed
within this State shall be tried by a jury of the county in the same manner as the
citizens thereof, and there shall be no challenge either to the array or the polls for
the want of foreigners on the panel or jury that may be returned.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the provisions of the
British Statute of 28 Edward III, Chapter 13 are of no force or effect in
Maryland.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
