AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 7-201(b) and 7-203 of
Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume),
title "Decedents' Estates", subtitle "Subtitle VII. Administration of the Estate",
subheading "Part II Inventory and Appraisal", and to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Section 7-304(b)(l) of the same article, title, and subtitle,
subheading "Part Ill—Accounting", and to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, [[Sections]] Section [[8-104 and]] 8-107(a) [[and 8-109(h)]] of
the same article, and title, subtitle "Subtitle VIII-Creditors' Claims" and to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 9-103(a) of the same article and
title, subtitle "Subtitle IX-Special Provisions Relating to Distribution", and to
add new subsection 9-103(c) to the same article, title, and subtitle to follow
subsection 9-103(b), to provide for a change relating to the notice to interested
persons of contents of an inventory, and filing of supplemental inventories, to
provide that residuary legatees not be charged with certain expenses involving
property, to provide for the manner of [[presentment]] disallowance of claims
[[and certain other charges relating thereto]] and relettering sections, to
provide for division of general legacies into classes and an order of priority
thereto, to correct certain errors in reference to other sections therein, and
specifying the application of this Act, and generally relating to decendents'
estates.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 7-201(b) and 7-203 of Article 93 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Decedents' Estates", subtitle
"Subtitle VII Administration of the Estate", subheading "Part II Inventory and
Appraisal", be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments; and
that Section 7-304(b)(l) of the same article, title and subtitle, subheading "Part
Ill-Accounting", be and is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments; that
[[Sections 8-104,]] Section 8-107(a) [[and 8-109(h)]] of the same article, and
title, subtitle "Subtitle VIII-Creditors' Claims" be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments; that Section 9-103(a) of the same article, and
title, subtitle "Subtitle IX-Special Provisions Relating to Distribution", be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments; and that new subsection
9-103(c) be and it is hereby added to said article, title and subtitle, to follow
immediately after subsection 9-103(b), and all to read as follows:
7-201.
(b) The personal representative shall file in the proceeding the
inventory. [,together with a certificate that he has mailed or delivered, within the 15
days next preceding such filing, a notice of such filing to all interested persons.]
7-203.
Whenever any property not included in the original inventory comes to the
knowledge of a personal representative, or whenever the personal representative
learns that the value indicated in the original inventory for any item is erroneous
or misleading, he shall make a supplemental inventory or appraisal showing the
market value as of the date of the decedent's death of the item, or the revised
market value, and the appraisals or other data relied upon, if any, and shall file it
with the court, [,together with a certificate that he has mailed or delivered, within
the 15 days next preceding such filing, a notice of such filing to all interested
persons. ]
