(House Bill 327)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments. Section 33(i)(3) of Article 30
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Deaf, Mute or
Blind," subtitle "White Cane Law," repealing the provision whereby a person,
who normally refuses to accept tenants who have dogs, is not required to accept
as a tenant a blind or visually handicapped person who has a dog, including a
guide dog.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 33(i)(3) of Article 30 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Deaf, Mute or Blind," subtitle "White Cane
Law," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
33.
(i)(3) Nothing in this section requires any person renting or leasing housing
accommodations to modify his property in any way or provide a higher degree of
care for a blind person or visually handicapped person, than for a person who is
not blind or visually handicapped. [Nothing in this section shall require any person
renting or leasing housing accommodations, if the person normally refuses to
accept tenants who have dogs, to accept as a tenant a blind or visually
handicapped person who has a dog, including a guide dog.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Fees of Officers,"
subtitle "Clerks of Court" [[; and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 110 of Article 81 of said Code (1969 Replacement Volume), title
"Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "Tax Sales," subheading "Foreclosure of Rights
of Redemption by Equity Suits," ]] , to provide that all costs in suits, matters,
proceedings or actions at law in the several Circuit and Equity Courts of the
