832                              Laws of Maryland                      [Ch. 273

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 19 of Article 1 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume), title "Rules of Interpretation," be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

19.

[Any replacement volumes to the Annotated Code of the Public
General Laws of Maryland (1957 Edition), prepared and pub-
lished by the Editorial Staff of The Michie Company, Charlottes-
ville, Virginia, be and the same are hereby legalized and made
evidence of the Public General Laws enacted following 1957 and
up to and including the time of publication. Each replacement vol-
ume shall be deemed and taken as such in all of the courts of this
State and by all justices of the peace, trial magistrates, and all
other public officials of the State and of its political subdivisions.]

(a)    Any replacement volume to the Annotated Code of the Public
General Laws of Maryland (1957 Edition), prepared and published
by the Editorial Staff of The Michie Company, Charlottesville, Vir-
ginia, is legalized and made evidence of the Public General Laws
in the volume at the time of publication; and it shall be deemed
and taken as such in all the courts of this State and by all public
offices and officers of the State and of its political subdivisions.

(b)    Any pocket or other supplement to a volume of the Anno-
tated Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland (1957 Edition
or subsequent replacement volume), prepared and published by the
Editorial Staff of The Michie Company, Charlottesville, Virginia, is
legalized and made evidence of changes in the Public General Laws
which are supplementary or in addition to the laws in the main
volume; and it shall be deemed and taken as such in all the courts
of this State and by all public offices and officers of the State and
of its political subdivisions.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2B(e) of
Article 31 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Supplement),
title "Debt—Public," subtitle "In General," correcting a certain
error in the laws pertaining to the public debt.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2B (e) of Article 31 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Supplement), title "Debt—Public," subtitle "In General," be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, as follows:
