Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 481½ be and it is hereby added to Article 48A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Supplement), title "Insurance
Code," subtitle "Casualty Insurance," to follow immediately after
Section 481 thereof, and to read as follows:
On and after July 1, 1972, no NO policy or contract of HOME-
OWNERS liability insurance, which contains any representation by
an insurance company that the company will pay all reasonable
medical expenses incurred for bodily injury caused by accident to
the insured or any relative or other person coming with the provi-
sions thereof, shall be issued or delivered by any insurer licensed in
this State to the owner or occupant of any individual residential
dwelling unit PERSONS COMING WITHIN THE PROVISIONS
THEREOF, SHALL BE ISSUED unless the policy or contract con-
tains a provision that payment of the medical expenses shall be made
by the company for at least three years from the date of injury
THE INSURER SHALL PAY ALL MEDICAL EXPENSES IN-
CURRED WITHIN THREE YEARS FROM THE DATE OF THE
ACCIDENT.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972 1973.

CHAPTER 264
(House Bill 135)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 64(a) of
Article 77A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Supple-
ment), title "Higher Education," subtitle "Scholarships," amend-
ing the laws concerning the eligibility for scholarships of certain
children of volunteer firemen in order to extend the application
of the law to the children of members of a rescue squad.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 64(a) of Article 77A of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1971 Supplement), title "Higher Education," subtitle "Scholar-
ships," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

(a) Any child between the ages of sixteen and twenty-three of
any person who was a volunteer fireman or a volunteer member of a
rescue squad and who was killed in the line of duty, if the volunteer
[fireman] was a resident of the State at the time he was killed,
shall receive upon application to the State Scholarship Board, State
aid for tuition, matriculation fees, boards, room rent, books and sup-
plies for the child attending any accredited school of higher education
in Maryland.
