powers, relating to the issuance of licenses and inspections and fees
required therefor, as may be assigned to it by statute or ordinance.
(13) If created by the County Commissioners, to administer the
Division of Waste Disposal.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

(Senate Bill 325)
AN ACT to repeal Section 703(j) of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume), title "Natural
Resources," subtitle "Oysters and Clams," removing a prohibition
against the dredging of oysters in the waters of Calvert County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 703(j) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1970 Replacement Volume), title "Natural Resources," sub-
title "Oysters and Clams," be and it is hereby repealed.

[(j) It shall be unlawful to take or catch oysters by dredge in
that portion of the waters of Calvert County in the Patuxent River
lying northerly and upstream from the mouth of the tributary
stream known variously as Caney Creek or Craney Creek, running
parallel to the Patuxent River bridge, such stream being approxi-
mately one fourth of a mile northerly and upstream from the Pa-
tuxent River bridge between Calvert and Charles counties. This
prohibition shall apply only within the period from December 1
in any year to January 15 in the following year, both dates inclusive.]
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.
