Section 48. And be it further enacted, That Section 29 of Article
56, Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume), title
"Licenses," subtitle "Hawkers and Peddlers," be and it is hereby
repealed.
Section 49. And be it further enacted, That Section 17 of Ar-
ticle 62, Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume),
title "Marriages," be and it is hereby repealed.
Section 50. VACANT
Section 51. And be it further enacted, That Section 3(h) of Ar-
ticle 62C, Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume),
title "Friendship International Airport Authority," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
3. Creation of and composition of Authority; appointment; terms,
compensation of members; officers; quorum.
(h) Duties of secretary; records.—The secretary shall keep a rec-
ord of the proceedings of the Authority and be custodian of all books,
documents, and papers filed with the Authority and of the minute
book or journal of the Authority and of its official seal. He may
have copies made of all minutes and other records and documents of
the Authority, and give certificates, under the official seal of the
Authority to the effect that they are true copies. All persons deal-
ing with the Authority may rely upon these certificates, and the
copies when so certified shall be received as evidence in any court of
law or equity, or before any judge, [justice of the peace,] or other
tribunal in this State, in the same manner and with the same effect
as if the original books, papers, entries, records or proceedings were
themselves produced. All such records, books, documents and papers
of the Authority shall be open to inspection by the public at reason-
able hours.
Section 52. And be it further enacted, That Section 35 of Article
63, Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume), title
"Mechanics' Lien," subtitle, "Boats and Vessels," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
35. Statement under oath to be filed and recorded.
No person shall be entitled to a lien under § 34 unless he shall,
within six months from the commencement of the building, repairing,
equipping or refitting or the providing of dockage and storage of such
boat or vessel, deliver to the clerk of the circuit court for the county
where the building, repairing, equipping or refitting was done, or
the boat was stored or docked or the clerk of the Circuit Court of
Baltimore City, if done in the City of Baltimore, an account or state-
ment verified by the oath of the claimant taken and subscribed be-
fore [some justice of the peace] a notary public or other officer
authorized to administer an oath, setting forth the names of the
claimant and debtor; and, if the debt was not contracted by the owner
but by his agent, the name of such agent, the name or other certain
description of the boat or vessel and the place where built, repaired,
equipped, refitted, stores or docked and the particulars or items of
the claim or debt; and which account or statement shall be redeliv-
ered by such clerk to the party filing the same after it has been re-
corded as provided in § 36.
