Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 133
(House Bill 307)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 71, 73, 74 and 75 68 THROUGH 76, IN-
CLUSIVE, of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1971 Supplement), title "Health," sub-
title "Vaccine Virus," AND TO REPEAL THE SUBTITLE, to
eliminate the requirement of a physician to vaccinate, the duty of
a parent or a guardian to have a child vaccinated, and to further
eliminate the requirement of vaccination prior to entering into

school and to eliminate any fining THOSE PROVISIONS OF THE
STATE LAW RELATING TO THE VACCINATION OF CHIL-
DREN, TO REMOVE CERTAIN DUTIES FROM THE STATE
BOARD OF HEALTH AND FROM PHYSICIANS, PARENTS
AND GUARDIANS IN THE STATE, AND GENERALLY RE-
LATING TO THE REPEAL OF THE VACCINATION LAWS
IN MARYLAND.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 71, 73, 74 and 75 68 THROUGH 76, INCLUSIVE, of
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1971 Supplement) title "Health," subtitle "Vaccine
Virus," be and it is THEY ARE hereby repealed, AND THAT THE
SUBTITLE "VACCINE VIRUS," BE AND IT IS HEREBY RE-
PEALED.

[68. THE STATE BOARD OF HEALTH SHALL KEEP ON
HAND, AT ALL TIMES, A SUPPLY OF FRESH AND PURE
VACCINE VIRUS, IF PRACTICABLE, NOT MORE THAN
FOUR REMOVES FROM THE COW, FOR THE USE OF THE
PHYSICIANS RESIDING AND PRACTISING MEDICINE AND
SURGERY IN THIS STATE.

69.    THE STATE BOARD OF HEALTH SHALL KEEP ON
HAND, AND PROCURE AS OFTEN AS MAY BE NECES-
SARY, PURE VACCINE VIRUS, AND FURNISH SUCH VIRUS
TO THE PHYSICIANS OF THE STATE, GRATUITOUSLY,
WHEN CALLED FOR; SAID BOARD SHALL KEEP A REC-
ORD OF THE NAME AND LOCATION OF EACH PHYSI-
CIAN SO FURNISHED WITH VIRUS, TOGETHER WITH
THE QUANTITIES, QUALITIES AND NUMBER OF TIMES.

70.    FOR EVERY CHILD VACCINATED, WHOSE GUARDIAN
OR PARENTS ARE TOO POOR TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE,
THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE SEVERAL COUN-
TIES, OR THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTI-
MORE, AS THE CASE MAY BE, SHALL PAY, OR CAUSE
TO BE PAID, TO THE PHYSICIAN PERFORMING THE
SERVICE, THE SUM OF FIFTY CENTS FOR EVERY SUCH
